Drontal Worming Suspension for Puppies is a liquid for the control of gastrointestinal worms in puppies and small dogs including roundworm, hookworm and whipworm. Drontal Worming Suspension does not control tapeworms or heartworm. Each bottle contains 30 mls of worming suspension.

Directions for Use
Weigh puppies before treatment. Puppies are treated by weight with the appropriate amount of worming liquid. Drontal Worming Suspension is given as a single dose by mouth. Fasting prior to dosing is not necessary. Dosage is 1ml per 1 kg bodyweight. A common regime for treatment is to worm puppies every 2 weeks from 2 weeks old until 12 weeks, monthly from 3 months until 6 months then every 3 months as an adult dog.

Cautions
Do not use in puppies under 2 weeks of age. This medication should not be used in animals allergic to it. In case of overdose contact your veterinarian or veterinary information centre. While rare, symptoms of overdose may include vomiting, loss of appetite or diarrhoea.

Possible Side Effects
The side effects of Drontal Worming Suspension are rare at the recommended dosage. Drontal Worming Suspension has a wide margin of safety for all sizes and breeds of dogs. It is approved for use in puppies as young as 2 weeks of age. Drontal Worming Suspension may be combined with other treatments, for example heartworm prevention, flea and tick treatments and vaccination.
